Current Local Ministry Needs

  • 1000 POUNDS OF FOOD CHALLENGE UPDATE:  Last week's donation was 61 lbs, leaving 868 lbs to go before September 30, 2012.
  • CEFM needs canned fruit and vegetables, baked beeans, tomato products, peanut butter and jelly.
  • SWES needs peanut butter, spaghetti sauce and pasta, canned meats, chicken and Spam, and toilet paper.
  • The Westside Homeless Shelter needs soap, shampoo and toothpaste.

The United Church of Christ was formed in 1957 through the merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Churches of German heritage and Congregational Christian Churches throughout the United States. Today there are more than 6000 UCC congregations in America. Each local congregation, including St. John's, practices its own form of organization, worship, education and mission.
